Celebrity death Hoaxes in the wake of Michael Jackson’s death: Get a grip, people.

51FW77NXK0L. SL160 Celebrity death Hoaxes in the wake of Michael Jacksons death: Get a grip, people.Come on people, it isn’t big and it isn’t clever. In the wake of Michael Jackson’s sudden death, the internet has been awash with other celebrity death hoaxes, including ‘Myley Cyrus dies in car crash’, ‘Jeff Goldblum dead’ and (whu?!) ‘Rick Astley dies in Berlin’ have all just died too. Many of these reports are faked from other celebrity death reports, and the whole practice is pretty sick, really. (Actually, the Jeff Goldblum one was before all this, but it still stands) What’s wrong with the world? The biggest star on the planet passes away and suddenly everyone wants to make light of it with fake celebrity deaths? I know you can’t sit and play World of Warcraft ALL the time (many of us do try though), but seriously, get a grip and a conscience. Plus, it also belittles genuine deaths such as the sad loss of Farrah Fawcett as well. Think about what you’re doing. While it may seem fun and suitably leet, it’s just a bit stupid. Actually, some of these have been down to the stories getting picked up by big Twitter users and thus spread like wildfire. I love Twitter, I really do, but now and again I can’t help but think people could use it a little more responsibly.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li DVDs and Blu ray on the way… wait, it got released?!

61P82CjB9HL. SL500 Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li DVDs and Blu ray on the way... wait, it got released?!Whoops! While we did follow the making of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li, we seem to have missed its cinema release altogether. Was it that dire? It certainly seems to be the case that this mooted reboot of the Street Fighter live action movie series has turned out to be a bit of a dud, but then again, it does seem to provide some entertainment in the same way that the Bloodrayne movies and the Dead or Alive film do. Disengage your brain and have some fun.

Now, I don’t have a problem with bad movies. In fact, I love them, but hopes were kinda high for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li, and sadly it looks like this is just another in a long line of ‘okay’ video game movies. That said, it is fun for action fans and the Street Fighter references should keep a fair few fans of the video game franchise happy for its duration. There’s no Chun Li costume though, which sucks a bit, but the film still has something going for it thanks to Kristen Kreuk’s fun performance and the nifty fight sequences. We’re looking forward to getting hold of the blu-ray!

Transformers 2 cast to remain largely intact for Transformers 3

51 rynDA5QL. SL160 Transformers 2 cast to remain largely intact for Transformers 3The main human cast of Transformers 2 are said to be returning almost en masse for the third film in the series, due out July 4th 2011 (which will be up against the fifth Terminator movie, as it happens). Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox will be reprising their roles once more, but it is rumoured that at least one of their characters won’t make it through the whole film.

Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving are already signed up for the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron for the third installment, and one wild rumour has it that a number of ‘human Decepticons’ are being sought for the film, which would point to the Pretenders subset of Transformers- people who contain slim, hidden transformers in a fleshy body.

51GCLLJZu9L. SL160 Transformers 2 cast to remain largely intact for Transformers 3The military cast will also be returning for the third film, which is said to partially take place on Cybertron, the Transformers’ homeworld. There are no concrete plot details yet, but following on from the final shot of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, it would seem to ring true.

At present there are no plans to extend the series beyond a trilogy, but right now anything can happen. There has long since been talk of Unicron showing up in the third film, but this has not been confirmed.

The Breakfast Club and Star Wars are also awesome choices. More?
